How to Reach Ayodhya

By Air

1. Maharishi Valmiki International Airport (AYJ): Located 8 km from the city center. Pre-paid taxis and auto-rickshaws connect the terminal to central hotels in 20–25 minutes.
2. Alternate Airport: Lucknow Airport (LKO), located 140 km away, offers high-frequency international and domestic flights. A private cab from LKO takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours via the Lucknow-Ayodhya Highway (NH-27).

By Train

1. Ayodhya Dham Junction (AY): Primary station located 1 km from Ram Janmabhoomi. Serves major direct trains (Vande Bharat, Amrit Bharat, and express lines) from Delhi, Varanasi, and Kolkata.
2. Ayodhya Cantt (AYC): Located 8 km west in the commercial township. Serves long-distance trains crossing northern India.

By Road

Connected directly via NH-27. Frequent Volvo and AC sleeper buses run continuously from Lucknow (ISBT Alambagh - 3 hours), Varanasi (4.5 hours), and Prayagraj (4 hours).
