How to Reach Ooty (Udhagamandalam)

Coimbatore International Airport is the most practical major airport, followed by a ghat-road transfer. Mysuru and Bengaluru are alternative gateways for longer regional itineraries.

By train

Mettupalayam is the broad-gauge gateway for the Nilgiri Mountain Railway to Coonoor and Udhagamandalam. Heritage-train reservations and current operating sections should be checked in advance.
