About Government Botanical Garden

The Government Botanical Garden, laid out in the mid-19th century on the slopes of Doddabetta, spans terraced lawns and glasshouses with a wide variety of trees, ferns and flowering plants, including a fossilised tree trunk estimated to be millions of years old. It hosts the popular Flower Show in summer and is a relaxed place for a garden walk.
