Kullu–Manali Airport at Bhuntar has limited, weather-sensitive flights. Chandigarh is a common major-airport alternative with a long onward road journey.
There is no direct mainline railway to Manali. Chandigarh, Kalka and Pathankot are commonly used rail gateways, followed by a substantial road transfer.
Government and private overnight coaches connect Manali with Delhi, Chandigarh and Himachal towns. Confirm the private boarding point because it may not be at the main bus stand.
Always use the terminal and boarding point printed on the latest ticket; similarly named stations can be far apart.
