How to Get to Kasauli
By air
Chandigarh International Airport is the nearest major airport, followed by a road climb through the foothills.
By train
Kalka is the nearest practical mainline railhead. Dharampur on the Kalka–Shimla narrow-gauge route is closer but requires onward road transport.
By bus and road
Buses connect Kasauli with Dharampur, Solan, Kalka and Chandigarh, while some services stop on the highway rather than inside the cantonment.
Always use the terminal and boarding point printed on the latest ticket; similarly named stations can be far apart.
